Julie A. Frame
Director
Julie is one of the founders of Hoff Curtis with a practice that emphasizes divorce and family law. Her practice previously focused on general law matters and labor & employment but her efforts shifted to divorce and family law over 15 years ago. Julie works closely with her clients to try to prevent cases from moving into litigation, something that can make already sensitive cases worse for the family. Her clients' cases range from divorce and civil union dissolution to child custody and paternity.
Julie is admitted to practice in Vermont and the U.S. District Court, District of Vermont. She is a member of the Chittenden County Bar Association, Vermont Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She served as past chair of the Women's Section of the Vermont Bar Association. Julie has presented seminars and lectures for the Vermont Bar Association, Vermont Trial Lawyers Association, Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility, University of Vermont and various continuing legal education organizations.
Julie has contributed to her community as a prior board member for Vermont Legal Aid, Shelburne Craft School, the Vermont Women's Health Center, and the Lake Champlain Waldorf School. She is currently a member of Prevent Child Abuse Vermont's Advisory Board.
Julie attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, and received her B.A. degree in history from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and her J.D. degree cum laude from Vermont Law School in So. Royalton, Vermont. When she has time outside the office, she enjoys gardening and reading. Julie lives with her son and husband in Charlotte, Vermont.
